| Nadia began studying classical
piano at age seven and began composing at age nine. Her early years of
study were under Madame Gertrude Trembly-Baker, the teacher who trained
famed pianist Louis Teicher of the legendary piano duo Ferrante &
Teicher.
Nadia is a classically trained lyric soprano and also studied jazz with retired Radio City Music Hall virtuoso Kay Holly. Nadia performed with the Franklin Ashley Trio and created several original jazz recordings including her work with New York-based jazz great Chico Freeman. In 1998, after recording a CD in Arabic, English and French, Nadia performed in a Roman amphitheater in the historic city of Jerash in Jordan. Later that year she filmed a music video in Petra which was broadcast to over 40 nations throughout Europe, the Middle East and North Africa. Nadia is an accomplished
vocalist, composer and songwriter. With the influences of her Arabic
and Celtic heritages, Nadia creates a new sound blending New Age, Celtic,
World Beat and Classical influences. |
